The easiest part of the credentials package is your work history. The places you have worked make up a large part of who you are and what skills you have developed. Sometimes, these skills don't have any bearing on the invention at hand. When this is the case, the best thing to do is not to specifically use your work history as part of the credentials. This can be avoided and turned into a positive resource by stating that you "have a steady work history in an unrelated field, references available upon request." When your work history is related to your invention, play up the fact that this is connected. It shows that you have thought about your profession beyond the 9-to-5 mentality.
